LaTeXdraw generates two different output files:

• the LaTeXdraw --file
  The LaTeXdraw -file saves the picture in an internal format. This file can be read and modified by LaTeXdraw again. Use it to save the final version of your picture and intermediate states.
• the LaTeX--file
  The LaTeX--file is the output file with the generated latex source code for the picture. When saving a picture you can choose one of two versions:
  • The file is a full latex document with all headers and trailers. It can be translated with latex and dvips immediately.
  • The file is a latex document containing only the picture. It can be included in other latex-documents without changes, e.g. by
    \input{<filename>}
